About
A trendy space in the heart of Essaouira’s Medina
Since 2017, l’ Atelier is a multiple and unique place of its kind in Essaouira’s medina. First a trendy concept store organized into corners, then a friendly coffee/tea room, finally a cooking workshop where the scents of Moroccan cuisine floats. This space with a neo-industrial look, located at the entrance of the medina, is the ground floor of a vast ancient almond warehouse.

Cosy coffee & Lunch break
Under the large solarium, enjoy an entirely “homemade” sweet menu all day long: hot drinks, fresh fruit juices, waffles, cookies, pastries, verrines and yogurts.
At lunchtime, we offer a daily fresh & healthy cuisine on the blackboard made with local products: salads, sandwiches, quiches, soups, etc.

Moroccan cooking class
Since 2009, our workshops have provided an introduction to Moroccan culinary art: tagines, couscous, pastillas, gazelle horns, etc. They are taught daily, in small groups in our vast contemporary kitchen.
It is in a friendly atmosphere and supervised by a trilingual professional team (Arabic, French, English), that you will learn to make traditional dishes that are easy to reproduce at home.
Open Monday to Saturday.
Cooking class : 10h30-14h30. Price : 600 dhs.
Pastry class : 15h30-17h15. Price : 300 dhs.

Concept store
Entirely dedicated to Moroccan creations, our concept store is the essential shopping stopover to find trendy items Made in Morocco: crockery, tableware, household linen, candles, cushions and rugs, but also a selection selection of stationery items, vintage postcards, illustrated posters or contemporary photographs.
Our delicatessen section offers products from local cooperatives, carefully packaged: organic olive or argan oil, spices, culinary preparations, teas, infusions, coffees, etc.
